Tax Comprehensive Questionnaire

Welcome

This questionnaire may ask about areas that don’t seem directly related to your taxes. That’s intentional. We are Professional Money Finders. With nearly two decades of experience, the average Canadian family who works with us uncovers over $5,000 per year in additional deductions, credits, or benefits they were already entitled to — but didn’t know they qualified for.

First Time Homebuyers Credit

Home Accessibility Tax Credit (HATC)

If you are claiming HATC, include the renovation description, contractor details, and amounts paid. Accurate details help ensure the credit is claimed correctly.
For the 2022 and subsequent taxation years, the annual expense limit is $20,000 (credit up to $3,000).
The HATC is a non-refundable tax credit for eligible renovations that improve accessibility, mobility, functionality, or reduce risk of harm in the home.

Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC)

If you are claiming MHRTC, list the renovation details and select all qualifying expense categories that apply. Clear documentation helps support the claim if CRA reviews it.
MHRTC is a refundable tax credit that can be claimed for certain renovation expenses to create a self-contained secondary unit for a senior or a person eligible for the disability tax credit.
You can claim up to $50,000 in qualifying expenditures per renovation. The credit is 15% (up to $7,500).
